Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London, UK

The Theatre Royal Drury Lane is historically one of the most important theatres in the world. Haworth Tompkins were commissioned by Lloyd Webber Theatres to return these great historic spaces to their former configuration and to make both the public foyers and the 1920s auditorium more welcoming and effective for contemporary audiences.

The new architectural proposals enhance the significance of the existing building wherever possible within the wider ambition of improving audience experience and comfort, accessibility, operational efficiency and technical capacity. The scope of the proposals covers front of house, auditorium, Stage House and back of house areas.
