The D3 East Residential Quarter is part of the Dubai Design District and aims to provide 378,500m sqm of residential, commercial and retail units. The development is directly connected to the Dubai waterfront which includes attractions such as hotels, museums and public realm spaces.
Foster + Partners was appointed by Dubai Holdings as Lead Consultant from feasibility stage until contractor appointment with responsibility for all disciplines including Architect of Record and permitting documentation.
Plan A’s Key Responsibilities
Internal management of the design process so that the Architect could focus on its core skills and the Client team were reassured that the factors for project success such as programme and team organisation were covered.
We created a project environment where there was continuous communication and roles and responsibilities were defined and managed.
The design programme was regularly tracked so that all parties knew what information had to be issued and by when.
Client feedback including end of stage reports were monitored and closed out so that the basis of design and decision making was clear and audited.
