Plan A x Immerse Education: Career Insight Days

This month, Plan A was excited to host a series of Career Insight Days with Immerse Education in our UK office, our first ever in house outreach event! Led by our Design Manager Haytham Hamodi, three cohorts of secondary school students took part in interactive sessions designed to introduce them to the world of Design Management.

Immerse Education is an educational organisation that provides students aged 13-18 with university-level enrichment programs and career-focused experiences (where we came in!).

The days involved:

1. A brief history of Plan A and how we embed design management in real world project delivery
2. Design Management 101: what it is and why it is important
3. A “Day in the Life” of a Design Manager
4. Insight into career pathways within the Built Environment sector
5. Interactive workshop activity putting the students in the shoes of DMs with a bespoke brief

It was a pleasure to deliver these outreach events and adapt the workshops we regularly run for Part III Architecture students to a younger cohort.
