Being a Lead Consultant: Our In-House Weekly CPD
Last week, Associate Design Manager Hayley Chivers led our Plan A weekly CPD, exploring the difference between the Lead Designer and Lead Consultant roles, and how Plan A help architects to navigate the two distinct roles.
Building on insights from our exciting suite of projects in the UK and abroad, Hayley guided us through the key roles, risks, responsibilities and opportunities architects face when taking on the role of Lead Designer or Lead Consultant.
The presentation included examples of where clear project set up, iterative project tools and regular progress monitoring helped design teams and especially architects to lead their teams and communicate project events to clients and their stakeholders.
The session also considered what to do when things go wrong. Through a blend of contractual insights and behavioural reflections, we considered how we can help architects to evolve in their project-leading roles.
Our in-house CPDs are the foundation of our knowledge sharing practices, ensuring we are always evolving our skills and tools to stay ahead of industry developments. By drawing together trends and events from across our wide project base, we reflect on successes and setbacks, to ensure we are always iterating forwards.
